Hula sparks Hawaiian Night at Global Village

Hawaiian Night is coming up September 27th at the Global Village in Ginowan City.

As the party is not very large, everyone gets to know each other.

Every quarter Global Village (GV) hosts a themed international party to foster cultural exchange and good times –a great opportunity to meet new people from various places with various backgrounds in an informal atmosphere—and this quarter’s theme is “Hawaiian Night” at 8:00 p.m. Okinawa’s own Mili Mili will be Global Village’s honored guests adding Hawaiian music enhanced with the added charm of live hula dance. The group has performed at many festivals and renowned places such as Ocean Expo Park and the South Eastern Botanical Gardens.

Mili Mili guarantees Hawaiian entertainment to ensure the mood at the party is just right.

“We are so excited to have them here at Global Village and I know many people are looking forward to learning how to hula properly!” said Kendra Taylor-Migita, GV’s own English teacher, referring to the Hula workshop that Mili Mili will be teaching. “It’s a chance for everyone to grow together by experiencing something new, in this case hula, but that really is what Global Village is all about. We will also be holding a game with prizes.”

Those planning to attend are encouraged to dress in Hawaiian themed clothes. Tickets are on sale now at GV for \2,000, or half price for those 12 and under.   At the door, entry tickets are \2,500 on the day of the party. One free drink is included in the price.
