New attraction highlights the 16th Stardust Fantasia illlumination display at Kanucha Bay Hotel and Resort.

The extended holiday season is about to begin, as Kanucha Bay Resort prepares to launch its 15^th annual Stardust Fantasia illumination.

Approximately a million lights will showcase the hotel and its surrounding garden and park areas in evenings beginning Nov. 1^st.    Stardust Fantasia runs for 120 nights, until Feb. 28^th.  Officials say they’ve added a new attraction, the Luminous Garden Ball, a mixture of illumination and projected images.

The resort will ask a guest to each day conduct a “Switch On Ceremony”.  The Nov. 1^st kickoff will include live music, a laser show and fireworks to begin the illumination.

Visitors may observe Stardust Fantasia from 6 p.m. ~ 11 p.m. through December, and from 7 p.m. ~ 11 p.m. in January and February.  Advance tickets are ¥2,000 per regular or Kei car.  At the resort, admission is ¥3,000.  Officials say hotel guests, including dinner guests, are free and do not pay the entry fee for cars.

Kanucha illumination runs through Feb. 28.
