Hello Kitty’s Wonderland comes to Tomiton
Sanrio Co.’s Hello Kitty character, a Japanese white bobtail cat with a red bow, is one of Japan’s most loved and admired characters that was originally created by Yuko Shimizu. The character appeared first on a purse in 1975. It was introduced to the U.S. a year later. Since then, Hello Kitty has grown into a $7 billion a year business, amazingly without advertising, and is now known practically everywhere in the world.
In an event that brings Kitty to the Event Court on the first floor of Toyosaki Life Style Center Tomiton in Tomigusuku City, the adorable white Kitty strays into the mystery world of ‘Alice in wonderland’, and people are able to experience the magical science world together with Kitty. After passing through the trump card motif tunnel, a visitor enters in a dream world, becomes smaller like Alice and meets various plants and animals in a garden. There’s also a magic mirror room, big trump card maze, and wonderful tricky rooms that entertain people from children to adults.
The show opens this Saturday, July 18th and runs through August 30th daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. with last entry at 5:30 p.m. Tickets to the Hello Kitty’s Wonderland cost ¥500 to junior high school students and older in advance and ¥700 at door.
