Kadena culture center holds movie screening May 22
It has been 10 years since the Kadena Culture Center had a public movie show, but on May 22nd the center is scheduled to screen a Japanese movie titled ”Ai-no-chiisana rekishi” (Small history of love).
The movie is about family and aims to make people think who are important in their life. The Japanese movie has English subtitles. The screening starts at 14:30 with the doors open at 14:00.
Takashi Okito stars as the main character in the movie. He was born in Kadena Town on Dec. 27, 1978. Besides being an actor, Okito also performs on stage, and has earned acclaims at the International Ibsen Festival 2014 in Norway and the Low Fat Art Fest in Thailand. His other talents include gardening, flower arrangement and driftwood art.
On the same day, the Colors Food Fest is held at the entrance hall of the Culture Center from 12:00 to 14:00 where Ball Donuts Park shop sells muffins, cupcakes, hamburgers, beer, coffee, and more.
Tickets to the movie cost ¥1,000 in advance and ¥1,300 at door, and are available at Home Center Tabata at Naval Kadena, Michi-no-eki Kadena and Kadena Multimedia Center.
Parking is available at Kadena Town East and Central parking lots for ¥200 a day. First and second Rotary Kadena Town parking and second Shin Town parking offer free parking for two hours.
