Shibui nbushi (Simmered winter melon) serves 2
- 1/2 Winter melon (small one)
- 100g minced meat
- 1 tsp soup stock powder
- 1 tbs soy sauce
- Dash of salt
How to cook
Peel the winter melon and take seeds and cotton out and cut into 5cm cubes.
Fry the minced meat in a pan, and place on a plate.
Cook the winter melon cubes in the pan and add the minced meat after the melon color changes to clear.
Add water until all ingredients are under water, add soup stock powder and soy sauce, and simmer until the water melon becomes soft.
Leave small amount of boiled soup, and add salt to taste and serve.
