Hyakuna Garan, a luxury resort in Tamagusuku, Nanjo City, has been named for the 4th time a candidate for the “Best Resort” by Forbes Travel Guide 2018. The results will be announced in February 2018 in Los Angeles.

Forbes Travel Guide has evaluated hotel services since 1957, ranking the hotels with a 5-star system. According to a Hyakuna Garan spokesman, the judges evaluate up to 900 different items before making their decision.

In 2017, Hyakuna Garan received the “World Luxury Hotel Award”, regarded as the Academy Award in the travel industry, for the 4th consecutive year, It was awarded the “World Boutique Hotel Award” for the 2nd consecutive year following last year when the hotel was the first in Japan to win the honor. It also won the “Luxury Travel Guide Award” for the 3rd consecutive year.
