West Coast Road proceeding in time
The construction of a seaside road in Urasoe connecting the Minatomachi area in Naha to Ujidomari in Ginowan is proceeding in time.
The road is scheduled to open within this fiscal year that ends Mar. 31st, and is expected to alleviate the chronic traffic congestion on Highway 58 and provide better access to Naha Airport.
The largest shopping mall in the prefecture, a joint venture of San-A and Parco is also proceeding on a strip of land between the new road and the southern end of U.S. Marine Corps’ Camp Kinser,
The road and the mall facility are sure to bring big changes to the area.
