New soba, habu skin watch win Okinwa Specialty Product Contest
The Central Federation of Okinawa Commerce and Industry announced Saturday the recipients of its 20th Specialty Product Contest Okinawa Governor’s Awards.
“Okinawa Teitohshitsumen” are a special type of Okinawa soba noodles that are low in carbohydrates. According to the maker, the noodles contain 29% less carbohydrates than the original Okinawa soba, and has 17.1 grams fiber per 100 grams of soba.
“Uwatchna-“ is an original design watch with its dial plate covered with habu skin. The company buys habu locally and does the whole process of preparing the snake skin and assembling the watches by itself.
